Trauma-informed early childhood training & professional conversations

For early childhood educators and teachers (School Readiness Funding menu-approved)

Feeling under-equipped to support children with a history of trauma and complex behaviour? Delivered over three to four months, this intensive training will support your team to embed trauma-informed practice at your early years service.

The package is a mix of online learning modules (developed by child trauma expert and Complex Care founder Trent Savill), multiple site visits where our professional support consultants will share their observations, and ongoing online critical reflection to deepen your team’s new understanding of trauma theory and support children’s recovery.

What early childhood services are saying

I’ve done my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, but we didn’t learn about children with trauma backgrounds or complex care needs… I wanted to understand more about acute, chronic and complex trauma, and how these different types of trauma impact children’s development, so we could find the best way to support these children. We needed a professional to guide us through it. [ITAV consultant] did exactly that and was like a therapist for us!
