πŸ“£ Our CEO Daniela Kavoukas was in Canberra this week advocating on behalf of our members πŸ“£

Daniela caught up with Senator Jess Walsh, Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth, to discuss what it will take to build a high-quality, accessible, universal education and care system for every family in Australia.

Daniela discussed with Dr Walsh the importance of access and inclusion in education and care, as well as opportunities to strengthen the community-managed model through the Building Early Education Fund.

These priorities align closely with our Advocacy Roadmap, which articulates our vision for Australia's education and care system. Check it out here: πŸ‘‡

Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners

It Takes A Village acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of this nation and the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work. We recognise their continuing connection to culture, land, water and community. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We acknowledge the strength of family connection and kinship within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their ongoing dedication to educating and caring for children. The sovereignty of these lands was never ceded. We support Treaty.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices or names of people who have passed away.

We would like to thank Yorta Yorta and Gunnai artist Dixon Patten for creating this artwork which depicts our organisation’s cultural learning journey.
