Quality improvement planning: Creating a QIP that works for you

Professional development for early childhood professionals

Quality improvement plans (QIPs) are both essential to improving your service for children and families, and a requirement of both the law and the National Quality Standard. But QIPs can be challenging to manage – some gather dust while others balloon out of control. Our quality improvement planning packages will support your team to reflect on your current QIP, explore strategies to manage the admin process and incorporate stakeholder feedback, and develop a QIP that truly improves your service. You’ll also explore how the QIP is used differently for assessment and rating versus driving improvements at your service.

What early childhood and OSHC services are saying

[ITAV] really turned my thinking around. Our QIP in its new form is a lot simpler to manage and maintain, as well as documenting to stakeholders our current and ongoing quality improvements.

– Lisa, Spensley Street OSHC (Exceeding-rated service)

We got a lot of great ideas on how to improve our QIP and make it a realistic and live document.

– Kathy, Olympic Village Preschool and Audrey Brooks Memorial Preschool
