Nature play: The value of children learning on, and being in nature

Professional development for early childhood and OSHC professionals

Outdoor learning, bush kinder and forest schooling are growing in popularity – and for good reason. Not only does nature play provide sensory experiences that support children’s emotional regulation, it also offers invaluable opportunities for risky play. Things like climbing onto logs, jumping in puddles and rough and tumble play support children to learn to assess risk, solve problems and build confidence – all with flow-on effects that promote positive behaviour. This package will support your educator team with inspiring ideas to incorporate nature play into your early childhood or OSHC program.
