Our professionalism in practice packages will support your team to explore what a culture of professionalism in early childhood and OSHC looks like, and learn ways to ensure your collaboration and communication meets professional standards.
Package 1: Ignite
2 hours of PD – workshop

- Collaborate with your team to define the qualities of a professional educator
- Review the staff code of conduct and clearly communicate expectations for professional practice in line with National Quality Standard 4.2
- Explore how to navigate the balance between fostering a warm dialogue and providing constructive feedback, including the timing and approach for these discussions
Package 2: Activate
4 hours of PD – workshops and/or tailored coaching and mentoring
Package starts from $1099 + GST for your team or service (member price)

- Ignite package inclusions
- Unpack your service’s code of conduct and provide support to your team in understanding how it is applied in daily operations and practice
- Participate in a team discussion to establish a consensus on signature behaviours – the expectations for a professional educator at your service
- Learn about the role of empathy and emotional intelligence in staff communication and relationships
- Explore your team rules
Package 3: Embed
8 hours of PD – workshops and/or tailored coaching and mentoring
Package starts from $1759 + GST for your team or service (member price)

- 4 hours of coaching with one of our expert mentors – with the whole team, or one-on-one with individuals
This PD aligns with QA4 and 7. It contributes towards the 20 hours of required PD for VIT renewal of registration.
