This package will support you to build knowledge and understanding of NQS’s exceeding themes and begin to embed exceeding practice at your early childhood or OSHC service. The package includes a site visit and guidance from one of our expert consultants.

- Learn about the NQS and its approach to regulation, assessment and rating, and quality improvement
- Build your understanding of the exceeding themes of the NQS and how to highlight them in your quality improvement plan (QIP)
- Break down the guiding principles of the National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Develop an understanding of the national benchmark for early childhood education and how practice can exceed it
- Learn about the Excellent-awarded process and practice as defined by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Engage in critical discussion which deepens your understanding of which practices reflect the elements and determine a Meeting rating
- Get a site visit by one of our expert consultants with observations of practice related to the NQS and feedback to improve the QIP process for exceeding practice
- Work with a consultant to identify opportunities to exceed the NQS and improve quality outcomes for children, families, staff and community
- Receive a review of your service QIP and recommendations for future practice, and an assessment and rating report from a consultant
This PD aligns with QA1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and APST 6 and 7. It contributes towards the 20 hours of required PD for VIT renewal of registration.
