Since you asked...

As a new educational leader, I’ve never done this before and I’m feeling stressed out. Any advice?

Some parents bring their child back with a doctor’s clearance certificate, even though symptoms persist.

Building skills and confidence as a new educational leader in a children’s education and care service takes time and practice. Start small and get guidance and support throughout.

Placing an expectation on ourselves to know everything straight away and get it perfect the first time creates a lot of unnecessary stress. Break the task down into manageable steps and get support and guidance throughout the process. You don’t need to carry the burden alone – it’s OK to ask for help.

Ensure you’re working within the boundaries of your role and skill level. It’s easy to get carried away looking at all the possibilities – keep your eye on the smaller tasks first and before long you’ll be achieving your goals without breaking a sweat.
